The weekend knit, and the joy of a uniform
Off-duty dressing · Knitwear
A uniform isn't a failure of imagination; it's imagination spent elsewhere. The ribbed knit and the soft jeans are a decision I made years ago so that I never have to make it on a Saturday morning, when the only thing worth deciding is which café and which book.
Comfort photographs badly and feels wonderful, which is exactly the right ratio for clothes nobody is judging. The watch I wear out of habit and never actually check. The tulips are not part of the outfit, but they help.
If the quiet wardrobe has a weekend, this is it: warm, faded, entirely off-duty, and dressed for no one at all.
